Short answer

How do I remove HP or Dell bloatware with Win11Debloat?

  • Pick them yourself: in the wizard, use Quick Select → OEM software (Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG), then untick the ones you use.
  • All HP apps at once: -RemoveHPApps removes 20 HP packages.
  • Keep the app that manages your battery, firmware or drivers, such as HP Power Manager or Lenovo Vantage, unless you have another way to do that.
  • Check first: the app checker shows which of them your PC actually has.

Which ones to keep

  • Battery and power: HP Power Manager, and Lenovo Vantage with its service, control battery charge limits and performance modes on many laptops.
  • Updates and support: HP Support Assistant, Dell SupportAssist and Lenovo Vantage install firmware, BIOS and driver updates. Without them, get those from the maker's website.
  • Hardware: HP PC Hardware Diagnostics and HP Printer Control are useful if you troubleshoot or have an HP printer.
  • Usually safe to remove: welcome, registration, tutorial and discontinued apps, such as HP Welcome, HP Registration, HP JumpStarts, HP Connected Music and Dell Mobile Connect.

The LG Monitor App comes from Windows Update when you connect an LG monitor, and the project notes Windows Update may silently reinstall it. To stop that, also apply -DisableDeviceAutoAppDownload. Windows Update tweaks.

Other brands and handheld PCs

Release 2026.08.24 only knows these four brands. The project's unreleased code adds 22 more OEM apps: 12 from Samsung, 3 from ASUS, 2 each from Acer and MSI, HP's OMEN Command Center, Lenovo Smart Appearance and Microsoft's Surface app. What is coming. Until then, uninstall other brands' apps from Settings → Apps → Installed apps. Many OEM utilities are classic desktop programs, and Win11Debloat's list only covers the brands' Store-style app packages.

On handheld gaming PCs such as the ROG Ally or Legion Go, the maker's app usually controls the buttons, performance modes and controller. Keep it.

Questions

Is it safe to remove HP Support Assistant?

Yes, Windows works without it. You lose HP's automatic driver and BIOS updates and warranty tools, so check HP's support site for updates now and then.

Will the OEM apps come back?

Some can, through Windows Update's device apps or the maker's own updater. -DisableDeviceAutoAppDownload stops Windows Update from installing device companion apps.
