Privacy policy

#What we collect

• Nothing you type into the tools. The app checker, command builder, undo builder, error lookup, config checker, log reader and debloater chooser run in your browser. What you paste into them is never sent to us or anyone else.
• Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people find the site. It loads a script from googletagmanager.com and sets first-party cookies (names starting with _ga) to tell visits apart. It records the pages you view, the page that linked to you, your approximate location, and your device and browser, and Google processes this under its privacy policy. We see reports, not who you are. To opt out, block cookies for this site or use Google's opt-out browser add-on.
• Visit counts from Cloudflare. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It loads a small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com, which reports the page address, the page that linked to it, load times, and your browser, operating system and country. Cloudflare says it does not use cookies or local storage and does not track visitors across sites. We see only totals, never individual visitors.
• No ads. The site loads no advertising or social-media scripts. If that changes, we will update this page first.
• Your preferences. Apart from the Google Analytics cookies above, the site sets no cookies. It remembers two small preferences in your browser's local storage: light or dark mode, and which tab you last chose in a few guides. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.
• Emails you send us. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply. If you send a test result for publication, we publish only the details listed on our test results page, such as your Windows version and PC model, never your name or address.

#Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not use that data to identify visitors. Fonts and our own scripts are served from this site; the only third-party scripts are the Google Analytics and Cloudflare analytics scripts described above.

#Links to other sites

Links to GitHub, the Microsoft Store and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies. The Win11Debloat one-liner downloads the script from GitHub, not from us.
